The intense rivalry between predator species is very apparent here. What took place is also obvious, the leopard has killed an impala, hoisted it into a tree and the reason leopards lift carcases to safety is due to species like the hyenas. What is not apparent is the fact that the kill was actually made by a female, the male and female were mating and sharing the meal- not sure the female was completely happy with that arrangement- the hyenas ended up with nothing and were chased off by the male
