Powerful leopard catches a bat-eared fox

What we seeing and photographing in the Okavango delta at Chitabe camp is our young leopards becoming independent way earlier than that- we have a number of individuals that we have watched grow up from tiny cubs become independent at about a year old. Some even disappeared from our sightings at around 10-11 months old only to pop up and be seen in a new territory later on. It’s an interesting trend that we plan to document as much as possible.
