Leopards in the last ray of light
I think one of the hardest things for me too decide is when to finally pack the camera away. If I feel the cat is uncomfortable, stressed or not happy with my presence it’s a very easy decision to pack up and leave. If, like this leopard cub I’ve spent some time with him climbing and playing in nice light and then the sun begins to dip through the trees and he decides to relax on a branch, it might be time to give him some space and pull out quietly or maybe just sit there without a camera jammed to my eye and enjoy the moment. Exactly what I did and as the sun was about to disappear below the horizon, a single last ray popped through the tangled bush and highlighted his face. Now I could leave even happier.
