This African Harrier Hawk is hunting bats by removing bark to gain access. Each time it took a break it covered the hole with its body and wings so that the potential prey, the bat, couldn’t escape. As all this was unfolding the Hawk was constantly being mobbed by starlings but the hawk was finally successful in killing the bat.
