Desert Lioness

Desert Lioness

What intrigued me most about these lions was the fact that I assumed that animals that had never seen people before would be nervous and fearful and probably slink away. What they did do, and this is probably due to the harsh environment, they boldly approached and were definitely more curious than their bush veld counterparts. Lions out here have to take every opportunity as a potential meal and we were very closely  inspected with dinner in mind.
