As the first rays of the dawn broke the horizon and reflected off the dust kicked up by these playful lions I was waiting for that very brief moment to try something different. In the fine Kalahari dust every bird, insect or animal that moves gives one an opportunity to add that extra element to a photograph. Also, working in an area where the wildlife is literally on your doorstep is important as waiting for the perfect lighting situation is way better than an hour later when the light is flat and the predators are asleep in the shade.
