40 Wild dogs doing battle in the Okavango

Dogs flying everywhere, dust, confusion and amazing vocalization. 16 wild dogs appeared almost from nowhere and spend a few weeks running rampant through a number of other dogs rages with little or no regard for boundaries. After the dust had settled and the confusion dissipated we had hindsight and more importantly we had images to try and piece together events. Seems the 16 males had acquired a few females from the Chitabe pack and for whatever reason, something to do with breeding rights, their sisters from the resident pack were not happy. After analyzing the images it turns out all the physical fighting and biting was done by females and between. sisters. The new pack are now the dominant resident pack at Chitabe in the Okavango.
