Leopard photography made easy (easier)

Leopard photography made easy (easier)

The biggest challenge for any wildlife photographer is locating the subject of your assignment. As I’ve mentioned in some previous posts, a big photographic bonus is finding your subject early so that you have changing light opportunities  that will broaden the scope of your images- A silhouette of an animal before sunrise, becomes a beautifully soft and warm lit image just after sunrise and it continues on until the light is harsh, flat and contrasty. If you only finding your subject when the light is harsh your possibilities are limited. The morning I photographed this leopard, 3 other leopards were found nearby. Chitabe camps in the Okavango are my go to place when I need images of leopards, cheetah and wild dogs
