Dominant territorial male lion on the move
The majority of people who have travelled to Africa on a safari have a shot list and on the top of most of those lists is a big male lion. Unfortunately lion behavior dictates that most of the images of big male lions will be of big males sleeping or at best a big male lifting his head for the posed portrait. The cooler mornings of winter in the Okavango are your best bet to capture lions on the move. This image of a male following a scent of other males is definitely made more interesting by his reflection in the water- its little things like that, that one needs to keep an eye out for when photographing wildlife.
