Poise and Power
Waiting for the exact moment a leopard’s pose changes in order to make an image that says power and poise comes only after ,many hours of observation, patience and persistence. Simply shooting multiple images on continues mode which makes many people think they sound like a professional only ensured that they have a good chance of missing that all important moment. Professionals do indeed shoot on high speed continuous – when the moment dictates it. This female climbed a tree to get a vantage point to scan for prey and it was simply another leopard in a tree image. But by anticipating she may see something of interest and focus her attention the change in her demeanor was the image I had hoped for.
